Hey Family and Friends!

I have been blessed with the opportunity of being accepted into Youth With a Mission (YWAM) - Fire and Fragrance in Kona, Hawaii. I will arrive on January 14th for a five month Discipleship Training School (DTS) where I will be trained to preach the Gospel. The DTS is a missions school from January 14th to June 20th that prioritizes evangelism and preaching the gospel with the goal of knowing God and making God known. YWAM focuses on 6 core values including prayer, worship, holiness, witness, fellowship, and service. The DTS program has 2 phases: a 3-month lecture and 2-month outreach. The lecture phase is on the island at the University of the Nations and is focused on learning, worship, and community. In the outreach phase we will be sent out into teams to share God's love around the world. I will find out which country/city I’ll be sent to within the first month of DTS.

First and most importantly, please partner with me in prayer for my time at YWAM. Your prayers mean the most to me throughout this season of my life. Some prayer requests I have are for my preparation and travel, absorbing all of the information I’m learning and being stretched by during lectures, my discernment through everything, my individual time with the Lord sitting in His presence, all-around safety, and that the Lord’s will is done through everything. One of the biggest prayers requests is for where I will be placed for outreach. I will be putting that 100% in the Lord’s hands, rather than ranking choices of countries/cities. Your prayers through this process that the Lord’s will is done and I am sent to where He wants me to be would be greatly appreciated!

In the past year, I have gone from living in the world, believing in God, and abusing His grace to living my life for Jesus Christ. I believe that He has called me into this season for a few reasons. First, to take a big step of obedience leaving everything and everyone I know and am comfortable doing. Second, to take a step back from those things I am involved in, get away from the distractions, school, and be 100% focused on Him in absolutely everything I am doing. Through this, I have decided to take a gap semester from school to be obedient to the Lord’s call on my life. I am excited to grow in my faith and learn more about how the Lord can use me. I am confident that Kona/outreach will strengthen my relationship with Him and help me lead others to Him.

Along with prayer, I would love for you to partner with me in this season of my life through financial support. I have some money in savings, but the goal is for me to fully fund DTS through fundraising.
