LUKES STORY
On the week of April 20, 2020 , Luke found out he was having liver failure and was admitted to Riverside Hospital. Luke was discharged a week later and was told the liver would start turning itself around with the proper care, let alone about 2 weeks later he was admitted for low sodium levels, Luke then found out the liver function was getting worst. The doctors decided to do a liver biopsy. A week after the biopsy on May 20, 2020, Luke was told that he was in need of a liver transplant. A few days after finding out he was sent to St. Mary's in Richmond, VA for kidney failure. While there he stared having problems with bleeding veins in the esophagus. On June 9th Luke was transported to Georgetown Hospital in Washington D.C. While he has been in D.C. Luke has had more problems with bleeding veins caused by the liver failing. Currently Luke is battleing infections and shingles holding him back from getting a liver transplant. Luke is strong and has been a fighter with everything that has happened. Luke is loved by so many including family, his girlfriend, and numerous friends. Thank you to everyone that has prayed and been there supporting Luke and his family through this time. Weekly updates will be provided on this page.
