Dear friends, family, and compassionate individuals,

We come to you today seeking your support for a truly remarkable individual, Luke Herrmann. For many of you he needs no introduction, but for those who may not have the genuine pleasure of knowing him, let us take a moment and introduce him. Luke is a devoted husband and joyful father of a 5-month-old baby boy. He has served his country and community admirably for over 7 years in Law Enforcement in various capacities. In each, he has demonstrated exemplary conduct and dedicated service. In each, he has selflessly sacrificed for those he has protected, as well as his fellow professionals.

Those close to Luke know him as a professional and prepared individual, but tragically he could not have been prepared for what happened to him and his family a few weeks ago. Luke was in the wrong place at the wrong time and sustained devastating injuries in a random act of violence. Many of you, remembering the impact Luke has had on each of our lives, reached out with thoughts, prayers, and material support for the family as they tended to him in the hospital. Luke was amazed and overwhelmed with how his community came together to support him and his family in the immediate aftermath of the incident.

Unfortunately, the fight isn’t over yet. Luke and his family are facing increasing medical bills as they seek to repair and replace what was destroyed. Luke’s genuine love for his family and unwavering dedication to protecting our country and community is a testament to his strength of character.
