My son, Luke Batters, tragically died 28th December 2018, at the scene of an accident on his motorbike.
Luke was one of the most precious souls earth has ever known. He was kind, gentle, loyal, always willing to lend a helping hand. He unstintingly gave his love and time. A keen gamer, he spent many hours in the community of Eve Online. He touched the lives of so many people. We've been blessed by the sheer number of people who've contacted us to tell us how much they'll miss him.
We miss him so much it hurts. We never in our darkest nightmares expected to be in this place. We were never able to give him much in the way of materialistic trappings-holidays, expensive gifts, but we always gave him all of our love.
As a family we are putting all our efforts into paying for the funeral. Please help us give him what we cannot afford to do on our own- a funeral- the best send off ever- worthy of him and all that he was.
The funeral will be towards the end on January, once the Coroner has released him.
