We are friends of Lukasz, asking for your help to raise funds for a costly stem cell treatment that could help him in his battle with Lupus. We are looking to raise $10,000 CAD to assist in paying for his costly treatment (a total cost of approximately $13,000 CAD). All proceeds will go directly to Lukasz to fund his treatment.

In 2011/2012 Lukasz was diagnosed with Lupus. Lupus is an autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue in many parts of the body. Through his medical journey, he has encountered many challenges and various treatments. More recently, Lukasz has undertaken treatments all while maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle and also a high academic standing in engineering school at the University of Alberta.

He will be now travelling to Tijuana, Mexico with friend Robbie Goodridge to receive treatment that will hopefully restore his kidneys to their sufficient, functional levels. This may be a potential treatment to avoid a kidney transplant in the near future. Kidney transplants carry their own risk of adverse health complications and possible rejection by the body.

While he is receiving treatment, he will be staying at the nearby Quartz Hotel and Spa, which is an adjoining building next to the medical plaza.
