For 30 years, my best friend Lukas Mueller has been the person who shows up for everyone else. Today, we need to show up for him.

Lukas is battling late-stage Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) and Crohn's, a combination of severe diseases that have left a liver transplant as his only path forward. After years of fighting, we recently received the miracle we’ve been praying for: a selfless living donor has come forward and is a match!

While this incredible gift of life is the start of a new chapter, it’s also the beginning of a long and costly road to recovery for Lukas. The transplant requires major surgery and, as such, he will be unable to work for an estimated 3-6 months as he heals.

This is where we come in. We are raising funds to cover the immense financial burden that lies ahead, so he can focus completely on his health without the added stress of financial worries.

In my life, one of the times I needed him most was when my father passed away due to COVID in 2020. Lukas comforted me during the hardest time in my life. All the while, he was struggling with his own health issues. My father was set to be the officiant at my wedding, and Lukas stepped up and not only was my best man but was the one to marry my wife and I and to start our lives together. He has been the best friend I could ever ask for.
