Luka's Urgent Medical and Cremation Fund

Meet Luka Smooka Pascal Cardona, the most lovable, spunky, outgoing boy you'll ever meet. He was adopted from the shelter in May of 2023. He loved playing with his puff balls, sitting on the toilet seat, and gazing out the window. On 12/13, Luka suffered from a urinary blockage. Luka underwent surgery to insert a catheter, drain his kidneys, and stayed in the hospital for 2 days. On 12/16, he was supposed to come home. On 12/15, we said our goodbyes as we found out Luka suffered from an internal tear, bacteria in his urine had become septic, and his blood pressure had dramatically changed. He could have undergone a second surgery for 7-10 additional grand, but his chances of surviving and coming out alive were that of a coin toss, with a decreased quality of life afterward. Luka was less than two years old. He had three brothers and leaves behind two fathers who miss him more than anything. Luka's first surgery was $3,770, more than what his fathers had available but followed through anyways in hopes of extending his life, easing his pain, and having him come home.
