Lukas Surfing for Team Finland in Puerto Rico!

Update: A huge thanks to all of you that donated for my trip to Rio! I was so stoked to make it to round 3 competing against the top juniors in the world! In one week, I’m heading to the Olympic qualifiers in Puerto Rico and I’ll be the sole competitor from Finland this time. Let’s go!!

Hi, my name is Lukas McMahon and I'm super excited to represent my second home country of Finland in the upcoming ISA Junior World Surfing Championships in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil in November and the ISA Men’s World Surf Games & Olympic Qualifiers in Puerto Rico in February! Unlike many other countries, Team Finland doesn’t receive funding from our government, so we rely on the generous of support family and friends to make it possible for me to compete at the international level. As you can imagine, contest costs add up quickly with airfare, transportation, accommodations, meals, coaching and extra equipment. My goal is to raise a total of $3,000 and to go deep in these competitions to make my country proud!
