Luka is the sweetest, most loving, and wonderfully eccentric stubby-legged pup you could ever meet. He’s a 5-year-old mixed breed with a huge personality, endless affection, and so many joyful years still ahead of him. He brings laughter to everyone he meets—and right now, he needs our help.
Recently, Luka was diagnosed with Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), a serious spinal condition that has suddenly taken away his ability to move freely and walk. While this diagnosis has been heartbreaking, there is hope. With surgery, Luka has a strong chance at recovery and returning to his happy, pain-free life.
Unfortunately, this life-saving surgery comes at a cost we never anticipated—upwards of $15,000-$25,000+. As much as we wish we could shoulder this alone, it’s simply more than we can manage on our own, which is why we are humbly reaching out for help.
Despite everything he’s going through, Luka is still himself—brave, gentle, and full of love. Some moments he’s strong, and other moments he’s confused and scared because things don’t feel the way they used to. Those moments break our hearts the most.
As his pawrents, we would do absolutely anything for him in a heartbeat. Luka is family. He has given us unconditional love every single day, and we are determined to do everything we can to give him the chance he deserves.
