Hooper Family Fund
This page was originally set up by my dear friend Shellie Costain on behalf of my daughter Luka Hooper who was diagnosed with Autoimmune Encephalitis in 2016. We were on a journey to get her to the Mayo Clinic with this GoFundMe. I've been Luka's caregiver ever since as she battles this harrowing disease.
Then on July 3rd, 2018, my husband was diagnosed with Young-Onset Alzheimer's Disease at 51. Young-Onset AD is more aggressive and Chris can no longer work. Disability is a long 2 year process and it alone will not cover our expenses.
I am now not only Luka's full-time caregiver but Chris's too and cannot work outside the home. We are in need mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually and financially.
Our financial needs are as follows:
-Bills
-Groceries + Gas (weekly trips to Aurora)
-Healthy supplements, treatments for Chris & Luka
-Constant wear and tear on old cars
The amount of $200,000 includes our home. It is my dream not to have the burden of a house payment.
Any help would be a gift to us under such extraordinary circumstances. Thank you.
God bless you. Please don't stop praying for healing and that we would never lose hope.
We love you,
The Hooper's
