Hello, my name is Dina. My husband, Luis, suffered a stroke a few days ago.  My two teenage children found him face down and unconscious after school. It pains me to think about how long he was alone for. Doctors stated his condition was critical and that they could not make us any promises concerning his survival. 

I am happy to state that this is no longer the case. Not only has he regained consciousness but has begun to practice moving his muscles on his own! He still has a long way to go — they are currently draining the pool that accumulated in his head. My husband has not had an easy life and the truth that he exemplifies is one that speaks of resilience and love for his family. 

It makes me uncomfortable to ask for help, but without my husband working (as he is working on his recovery) and with me cutting work hours to stay with him every day at the hospital, we are not sure how we will be able to pay our bills these upcoming months. Please help us devote our time, support, and love to Luis, as he has our family and myself for years.
