Luis is an athletic trainer with a passion for seeing people achieve the impossible. He owns and operates APS Transformation Center in Elk Grove, CA where he utilizes his years of training olympic and pro caliber athletes to build local youth and help the more seasoned among us to feel young again. I've seen him guide people from being unable to walk unassisted, to doing box jumps and deep squats with weight on their back. I've seen him take young athletes unable to lift their arms up due to injury, to bench pressing and dead lifting big weight while regaining full range of motion.

He helps people believe in themselves and equips them to go beyond what they think they can do. He gives without thought of return. It's his nature. It's who he is. 

A few weeks ago, while shaving he noticed a lump in his throat right below his jawline. Out of an abundance of caution he got it checked out and got the news that it was a cancerous tumor. After further testing it was diagnosed as Stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma and a procedure was scheduled to remove the tumor and surrounding tissue. Complicating things further, he has a cardiac condition which makes ANY surgery almost as dangerous as the cancer itself. 

During pre-op examinations, an additional tumor was discovered intertwined with his larynx causing the cancellation of the procedure until further examination of the second tumor could be conducted.
