Hello Friends and family,
It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of our brother Luis “Lou” Alvaro, who
passed away on January 25, 2024, at the age of 52.
For those who had the pleasure of really knowing him, you would know that despite his
many life struggles, he was kind, sensitive and incredibly goofy. Luis was also a talented
artist and loved to work on his many Bonsai trees. In the last 10 years of his life, he was
healthy, happy and the best version of himself. He helped mom and dad with work
around the house as well as many neighbors that needed a helping hand.
Luis had an immeasurable amount of love for his son Michael and became an
extraordinary friend to him in the recent years, talking on the phone and playing Xbox
together. Michael’s wife Tess shared that she would hear Michael laughing hysterically
whenever he was speaking to his dad.
Although Luis restarted his life in the last decade, the years of the hard life he partook in
finally caught up to him, and his life ended suddenly and unexpectedly for us all. This
unexpected loss to our family has left us unprepared as the family has fully supported
Luis financially throughout his life, and we find ourselves fully responsible for his final
medical and funeral expenses. If you are able to provide any financial support, it would
be greatly appreciated and will help to ease the financial burden of such an unexpected
tragedy.
With profound gratitude,
The Alvaro Family
