On the morning of Sunday, February 7, 2021, beloved husband, friend, and father, Luis Dorado, was called back home. During his lifetime, Luis was well known to friends for his love of family, his skills at baking, passions for genealogy, his loyalty to his extended family at St. Louis Catholic church and their Emaus services, and his unwavering love and faith in Christ.
For decades, Luis dealt with intense pain from Rheumatoid Arthritis and after many years of using the medication to treat the pain and keep his RA at bay it eventually caused Cirrhosis of the liver which resulted in end stage liver disease and kidney failure. However, on September 4th, 2020 the families’ prayers were answered when they received the call that they have long awaited for; a donor had been found! Because of the multiple surgeries needed and a few complications, Luis had to spend the next four months in the hospital. Just to complicate things further due to the COVID-19 restrictions, loved ones were not allowed to be with him in the hospital during this time.
Luis was finally released from the hospital and brought home the first week of January to finish his healing journey at home. Unfortunately, as Luis would have put it, God had different plans for him and called him home unexpectedly and to the shock of his family early Sunday morning.
This GoFundMe is being created on behalf of the Dorado family to cover funeral and medical costs that have been accruing over the extent of his illness. We understand that many families are experiencing economic hardships at this time, so whatever you can afford to donate is deeply appreciated.

En la mañana del domingo 7 de febrero de 2021, el amado esposo, amigo y padre, Luis Dorado, fue llamado de regreso a casa. Durante su vida, Luis fue bien conocido por sus amigos por su amor a la familia, sus habilidades para hornear, su pasión por la genealogía, su lealtad a su familia extendida en la iglesia católica St. Louis y sus servicios en Emaus, y su inquebrantable amor y fe en Cristo. .

Desafortunadamente, como Luis habría dicho, Dios tenía planes diferentes para él y lo llamó a casa inesperadamente y para sorpresa de su familia el domingo por la mañana temprano.
