On Sunday 10th September 2023, my step-daughter's father Luis passed away unexpectedly at the age of only 56.

The family faces the great tragedy of this unexpected loss with incredibly heavy hearts and irreparable grief.

Losing a dad so unexpectedly is something unimaginable, and something that will never be healed. The family will never be the same without him, and neither will anyone who had the pleaure of knowing him. Luis was originally from Venezuela and moved to the UK where he married Helen and they had a child, Alena, who is now only 21 years of age.

With such an unexpected death, the family is left in an even worse situation. Unfortunately, after his passing, we have found that he leaves behind an insolvent estate in debt, and had no life insurance policy, pension or will, with no way to fund the cost of funeral arrangements & services and on top of this horrible loss it seems unimaginable.

His only surviving kin is my step-daughter Alena, who is only 21 and also receives disability benefits due to her cerebral palsy and is unable to cover the costs of funeral expenses.

It's a difficult thing to ask people for help as many families are facing financial hardships of their own during this tough time, but we humbly ask if you can and are willing to please help by donating as much or as little as you can, to both help her focus on grieving and also providing her father with ceremony he deserves.

All proceeds will go to covering funeral expenses and then anything left over will go to supporting his daughter, Alena, through this tragic time.
