Dear friends, family, and Houston community,

It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the death of Luis Manuel Casillas. For those of you that knew him, you knew that he was the life of the party, the funny man, the one who made us laugh when we needed it. Luis gave his everything for his family and work. Luis’ life was sadly taken from us on December 23, 2022.

Everyone will tell you that you should prepare for death, that it is unbeatable. Luis deserved to beat it, to be here with his family. He brightened so many lives with his sense of humor, loud belly laugh, and selflessness.

As you can imagine, our family was not at all prepared for him to be taken so soon. We were not thinking of making a GoFundMe but at the insistence of all his friends, all who cared for him, and the unwavering support from all, we decided to look towards the future. He leaves behind a mother and father, a sister and brother, a wife and 2 precious little girls. Which is why we are reaching out to you all in hopes that you’ll show your support. Not for us, but for his children, in hopes to provide them with the future they deserved.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read our plea and for considering donating. Know that Luis loves you. I mean it. Even if he didn’t know you directly, he loves and appreciates what you do for his children.
