Support Corrie's Fight and Her Family's Resiliency

Dear Family and Friends –

As many of you already know, Corrie Lugo was diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of 2022, while 23 weeks pregnant with her second baby boy. Unfortunately, the cancer was aggressive and had already spread to multiple lymph nodes.

Fortunately – as you likely know – Corrie is unbelievably positive and resilient. While pregnant (and with a toddler at home), Corrie underwent surgery, months of chemo, and extensive radiation. She handled these challenges with strength and grace. And, last summer, she gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby named Anderson.

Corrie is finished with chemo and radiation but still has a long road ahead of her. She has undergone multiple surgeries and hospital stays. She has had infections and other complications. She has more surgeries and treatments ahead, and will be under doctors’ care for years.

As you can imagine, these challenges have greatly stressed Corrie, Oscar, and her children—both financially and otherwise. She is currently on medical leave and will remain so for a significant amount of time. Corrie and Oscar are incredibly grateful to everyone who has already helped them, whether that be financially, through babysitting, through meal delivery, or through just a positive text or phone call.

This GoFundMe is meant to allow their extended community—friends, co-workers, acquaintances, and others—to support Corrie and her family as they weather this storm and emerge into the sunnier days ahead.
