Lufkin Robotics Team - Worlds Event

The Lufkin Road Middle School Robotics Team surprised us all and has qualified for the Worlds VEX Robotics competition in Louisville Kentucky on  April 19-24th.  These students qualified by winning the North Carolina state title in Design Excellence.  Lufkin Road is the only Middle School in North Carolina to qualify for this event, and one of four total Middle and High Schools representing the state.

 This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for these students to meet, collaborate, and compete against students from all over the world.  There will be approximately 1000 teams represented at this event from the Middle School to College aged divisions. 

The competiton is a four day event where students compete in design, driving, interviewing skills, and tournment competitions.

We are trying to raise $4,000 by April 10th to cover the cost of rooms, transportation and meals for the students who have made their school and community very proud.  If you are able,
