GREAT NEWS! as of May 3rd
Thanks to a couple of different things going on in our world today, prices dropped and we are able to lower the overall cost of this trip for our students to about $800 each.
Who is Ludington BPA!
Business Professionals of America is the leading Career and Technical Student Organization for students pursuing careers in business management, office administration, information technology and other related career fields.
The Ludington High School BPA Chapter has been preparing our future leaders for 16 years, and in 2013, started the first middle school BPA chapter in the State of Michigan, and are the founders of the Michigan Middle Level BPA Association in 2016!
What does Ludington BPA do?
Ludington BPA is the only program of its kind providing a vocational learning experience to students 6th thru 12th grade in the Ludington Area School District.
High school and middle school members of Ludington BPA engage in numerous volunteer and professional development activities to learn real-world skills that can’t be acquired in the classroom. Every year, students compete at the local, state and national levels in the Workplace Skills Assessment Program, where they put their professional knowledge and skillset to the test in over 70 different competitive events.
We're also contributing citizens to the community through activities such as Movies in the Park, Relay for Life, the Bike Rodeo, Sandcastle's Children's Museum, St. Simon's Missionary projects and so many more. At school, professional speakers are brought in after school for all students to learn from, organize and operate Activity Nights and special social functions. Our 2,000 sq. ft. assembly line, pie fundraiser teaches us about planning and organizing a business and allows us to raise money for some of our conference expenses, and to "give back" to our communities with the profits we've made.
Ludington goes to Nationals!
This year, seven middle school members qualified to attend the 2017 BPA National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida. FIVE are working to make that journey.
Ludington BPA members will engage in a wide variety of workshops, internships and leadership academies where they will sharpen and grow their business acumen with over 6,000 members from across the United States.
More importantly, their goal is to finish what they started for the State of Michigan. Together, both high school and middle school chapters formed the first Middle Level BPA Association in the State of Michigan and their goal is to continue leading our Michigan chapters all the way to Florida!!!
We hope you can help us in making this historical journey a reality!
