Hi, my name is Lucy. I'm 15 years old and am an Explorer Scout in North Yorkshire. I've been fortunate to get a place at the next World Scout Jamboree, which is taking place in Poland in summer 2027. The Jamboree is a once in a lifetime experience and I'm taking on various fundraising activities to help support my place.

Let me tell you a bit about my scouting journey so far. I joined up as a Beaver aged 7 and a half, moving through Cubs (where I was a Sixer) and then Scouts where I became a patrol leader. I moved up to Explorers aged 14 and now also enjoy volunteering as a Young Leader with the cubs and scouts sections. This will help to ensure the sustainability of scouting in our town for future local young people and children to benefit from.

I take part in many local community events such as the annual bed race, St George's Day and Remembrance parades. I also support my local church, and get involved in community environment projects such as tree planting and litter picking.

The World Scout Jamboree will be the pinnacle of my adventures so far. If you can spare any amount to support me, however small, I'd be grateful. Also if you see me bag packing in a supermarket, or selling my home made cards and gifts at an event, please come and say hi!
