Dear Friends, Family, and Animal Lovers,

We are reaching out to you with heavy but hopeful hearts and a plea for help. Our baby girl, Lucy, has recently had some health misfortune. Earlier this week, she lost the ability to use her hind legs. We were fortunately able to get her into the local Urgent Care, Silver Birch in Norfolk, NY, where they are taking excellent care of her!

Lucy tested positive for Lyme (which is not surprising given the increase the area saw in ticks recently), and x-rays also show some kind of swelling in her spine. There is more medical terminology that I am just not great at remembering. As you can imagine, this news has been devastating to our family. Lucy is not just a pet; she is our family who has brought us so much love, happiness, and companionship.

The cost of the necessary veterinary care, including medications, hospitalization, and other treatments they deem necessary, is overwhelming. We are doing everything we can to provide the best care for her, but it will be a struggle to do it alone. This is why we are turning to our community for support. It is not easy to ask for help, but we are, and any small amount will help.

We have set up this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for Lucy’s medical bills and any equipment or items she may need. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference and bring us one step closer to giving her the care she needs and to continue to live a happy and healthy life.
