Hi, my name is Lucy and I am raising funds for the Shrewsbury League of Friends. I am doing this tandem skydive in memory of my papa and to support my dad during his captaincy of the Shrewsbury Golf Club as he is also supporting the League of Friends as his chosen charity.
The skydive is booked for late November and will be weather dependent, I’m hoping for a lovely day so I can enjoy this exciting opportunity.
The League of Friends cares and provides support for patients of the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, and have been doing so since 1966.
The League of Friends supports the work of the hospital in so many ways and is always there for patients, relatives and staff. The 125 or so volunteers in their 4 shops offer a smile and a cup of tea when needed, along with other refreshments. Confectionary, newspapers and toiletries can also be purchased.
All profits from the shops and every penny from donations, legacies and enjoyable fundraising events are used to buy equipment for the RSH. They are completely autonomous so, in conversation with Trust staff, they decide where the money entrusted to them is spent.
