Lucy’s Medical Expenses

What’s up family and friends. I pray you’re all well! Last month my Mom, Lucy Salazar Moore, was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma. She has a 8.3cm tumor on her right kidney. With this type of cancer, thankfully, they don’t do radiation or chemotherapy. They just go in and remove the entire kidney. Luckily the cancer has not spread to her blood or lymph nodes. She is scheduled for surgery September 7th. She has 5 different specialists right now treating her. In an unrelated issue she also has to get a muscle biopsy and the closest specialist who does it is 6 hours away in Houston. So her medical expenses are quickly piling up. My mom is my best friend. Having to come to the realization that she has cancer in her body has been something that’s been very difficult for me to process, but I have faith In God with the situation and know it’ll go smoothly. She lives about 7 hours away from me so I am in no position to help much or be there with her. Y’all know my Mom. She’s a selfless, caring, funny, smart and loving person. I started this go fund me to hopefully offset some of those expenses. She is currently on medical leave from work with no pay. Her husband Ed is carrying their financial burdens by himself, and at times has to take days off of work to go to appointments with her.
