Lucy's Liver Transplant

 

Our Lucy Grace.

 

This is our beautiful 5 year-old daughter, Lucy. She was diagnosed with biliary atresia, a rare liver disease, at 3 months old. She had her first life-saving surgery at 3 months old and has had several hospital stays since. Lucy's liver disease has progressed and she is now listed for a liver transplant at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. She is the most loving, intelligent and hilarious kids you'll ever meet. She loves math, science, dolls and playing with her little brother, Miles and her dog Marshmallow.

 

 

 

 

 

I am Lucy's mother and I'm currently being evaluated to be a living donor for Lucy at USC. Along with all the costs of the surgery, medication, travel and lodging, this liver donation is a very invasive surgery that will require my family to be separated for several months while her and I recover.

 

It is extremely heart breaking to see your child sick and asking for help is very humbling. But we need to be as strong as Lucy has been continued to be throughout this process.
