Lucy’s Half Marathon

As some of you may know, last year I completed 100 miles in 10 days to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK and I still cannot believe the success which it created. But I didn’t want to stop there! This year I have signed up for the Leicester Half Marathon which is on the 13th October 2024!!

Pancreatic Cancer UK is such an important charity to me and my loved ones. In 2023 we lost one of the greatest people I have ever met, Steve, my partner’s amazing dad. Steve spent his time fundraising for others so I know he would love all the fundraising which has been done in his memory. One of my close friends also suffered with the disease in 2020 and beat it which is such an inspiration to all.

This training has been hard as running is still relatively new for me but it’s easy compared to the cause I’m running for. My motto throughout is “do it for those who can’t”.
