This is a my first time asking for assistance on go fund me or anywhere, but i could use your help. Thank you in advance for taking time to review my posting.
Recently, Lucy, tore her crucial ligament or ACL . I took her to the her doctor and she recommened TPLO surgery. A typical TPLO surgery in the bay area runs anywhere from 3,500 ro 5,400, depending on the servirity of the injury. Lucy's surgery will run 4,500 per knee. She may need her other knee worked on in the near future. Right now I have to deal with the one that is most effected.
A little about Lucy:
Lucy is my best friend. She and I have been through so much together. Every time I think about quiting on myself, Lucy would snap me out of it. Lucy is a rescue , found in a basement in Tennenesse, she was mal-nurished and was skin an bones. However even in that state she was happy and caring and optimistic. She had trouble being adopted because she needed a lot of attention and care. When I saw her, i had the same concerns, but she was so loving and picked me to rescue.
Over time lucy became healtier and stronger. To my surprise I learned how to become more caring and empathetic because of her and now she is hurt and I need your assistance.
I have 1,500 and I need another 3,000 for knee surgery. Any help would be appriciated. I would never ask for help for myself, but Lucy is special and every time i see her limping and hopping on her walk. My heart breaks. What pains me more is that she is only 6 years old, loves playing with her friends in the neigborhood and I have to restrict her play. She looks at me and doesn't know why I wont' let her play.
My plan:
If i wait 6 months I can take care of both knees, However that would be a bad idea for lucy. The help I am searching for is raise funds quickly, minimize the amount i have to borrow and return the donations back to the donors without over-extending myself and get lucy back on her paws.
Any help would be appreciated,
