Lucy's Helmet

My dear friends Lena and Bobby Child were blessed with twins this past May! One of them, Lucy, was born with Torticollis which is a rare condition in which the neck muscles contract , causing her neck to twist to one side. This has caused her to have plagiocephaly ( flattening of the head) and caused her facial features to droop. If not treated this can cause her to have visual, and neurological problems as well as seizures.
This can all be treated with a special medical helmet which unfortunately is not covered by insurance, even though the doctors and specialists have deemed it medically necessary, and Lena and Bobby have submitted appeals that have been denied. Lucy has gone through physical therapy and chiropractic work and is improving but still needs the helmet. She needs the helmet as soon as possible.
Christmas time is a tough time of year to spend thousands of dollars on medical bills! If you feel led to donate, anything helps!
