Lucy and her journey to being cancer free!
Donation protected
As some of you near and dear are already aware, one of our sweet pups, Lucy, has recently been diagnosed with cancer. If you know me and Owen, you know how much our girls mean to us, so we are of course going to be doing everything we can for her. Between the various tests, diagnostics and surgery, however, this is going to be at quite a cost.
Our Lucy Rat has been by Owen’s side for 10 years now, and has been his faithful companion through many ups and downs. Anyone that knows Owen knows how much of his life he dedicates to helping animals, whether it be driving thousands of miles to rescue a truckload of dogs, to airport pickups, to extensive fostering, to working and living at a pop-up animal shelter for 4 months or to driving all over North America to reunite dogs with their owners. He does so much for so many, and on behalf of all the animals (and many people) he has helped, I want to give back to him and help to relieve the financial burden of giving Lucy the care she needs.
In honour of our Lucy Rat, and for Owen, I will be running the Great Trek Half Marathon on October 26th to help fundraise. If you would like to contribute we would be so grateful, and even sharing this campaign with your network would mean so much.
We appreciate you and your help from the very bottom of our hearts and paws!
