Lucy Fights Cancer

My sister was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer on her birthday, Jan. 29, 2020. As you can imagine this was a major blow & devastating news to her, her husband and four kids ages 23, 19, 13 & 6. It has almost been a year & she continous to have a fighting spirit. I know she would encourage me not to publicize her struggle with this illness since she's a very private person. As hard as it has been for us to respect her desire for privacy, it has become extremely challenging to try to do it on our own.
After a variety of immunotherapy treatments at M.D. Anderson the targeted cancer was thankfully dramatically reduced. However, the cancer had already spread to her kidneys and pancreas. Then the pandemic happened. This in turn has delayed several of her treatments. She continues to press forward despite her fragile state & even tried to work part-time. However, due to the intensity of the treatments, it's no longer feasible. A few months ago her husband's company was forced to cut down on personnel due to the pandemic. Therefore, they no longer have neither life nor medical insurance for the family. Due to this, she's unable to continue her treatments at MD Anderson and is vigorously looking for other ways to continue them. Meanwhile her husband is doing everything to remain positive while trying to stay afloat with their medical & home finances.
My sister is a devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. To say that we feel so heartbroken and unable to be there 100% of the time when she most needs us breaks our hearts. She's the kind of woman, along with her husband that gives & never expects anything in return.
Since many of you have reached out & don't know how to help during this time, we created this page for her. I'm requesting if you could help in any way big or small, our families will greatly appreciate your efforts. The money raised will go to her treatments and to help her family in any way possible.
When you don't know how strong you have to be until that's the only choice you have.
Thank you very much.
