Lucy Deserves the World

My name is Chad, and I'm asking for help to give my daughter every opportunity she has earned because we can't do it alone.
Lucy Lea has been everything a parent could ask for ever since she was a baby. I'm not going to write her entire biography here, but believe me when I tell you that you could scour the world and find yourself lucky to find another young woman as kind, as generous, as helpful, as responsible and loving and thoughtful and curious as my Lulu.
Lucy discovered a love for Japanese art and culture at a very young age, and it has only grown for the last decade. She started taking Japanese language classes as soon as she was able. At every step as she has grown into a young woman, she has taken it upon herself to step up. She pushed us to help teach her to drive, she asked our help allowing her to start working for her own money, she stayed on top of her own school work. The running joke is that Lucy is the most responsible person in our entire household.
From the beginning of her high school language studies, Lucy has had her eyes on a school-sponsored trip to Japan, and we were determined to make it happen for her. We made our daughter a promise that if she saved up enough to pay for half, we would cover the other half. The schedule was released, the sign ups were completed, the funds were committed, and we were all excited for her to have this adventure. And then Covid turned the world upside down.
In the years since, we have been on our toes continuously, taking one proverbial punch after another and doing our best to keep things together. Fate has not been kind lately. Unexpected expenses have piled on top of lost work hours and now with the deadline for her trip screaming towards us like a freight train, it's becoming pretty clear that there's no way we are going to be able to keep up our end of the deal. So I'm giving this a try.
Given everything that Lucy has sacrificed to try to make her dream a reality, what I'm truly hoping for is that we can fund her entire trip with this effort, letting her keep the money she has set aside as she moves on to graduate this spring, start college, and look towards her future. Please consider helping my baby girl have everything she has earned, and thank you for considering helping us.
