Lucy Ann Cook’s ALS Fund
Lucy Ann was diagnosed with ALS January of 2019, while experiencing symptoms starting in June of 2018.
ALS is a nervous system disease that weakens muscles and impacts physical function. In this disease, nerve cells break down, which reduces functionality in the muscles they supply.
There is no known cause, and no known cure.
Lucy Ann needs constant care as she has lost all control of her body and cannot do things for herself. With that said, the cost of having caregivers is paid 100% out of pocket; it is not covered by insurance. $250,000 is the estimated out of pocket cost of caring for a person with ALS.
We are hoping that this fund can help take some pressure off the family when it comes to making sure Lucy has the constant and proper care that she needs.
Any and all donations are appreciated.
Thank you all for the support for our family during this time.
