Supporting Lucy and Greg in celebrating the life of one of their twin baby boys who sadly passed at 31 weeks gestation. All money raised will be going directly to the family to financially support them with funeral arrangements and on going medical costs for their precious twin boys.

Lucy and Greg were so excited to be bringing twin boys into their growing family. Their five year old son was also very excited at becoming a big brother to two baby boys.

On the 2nd of January 2026 Greg and Lucy attended their scheduled 32 week ultrasound appointment at the Mount Gambier Hospital. The outcome of that ultrasound was the most heartbreaking news any parent could hear, “I’m unable to find a heartbeat on Twin B”. Lucy was then airlifted to the Flinders Medical Centre (FMC) in Adelaide to be monitored incase an emergency c-section was required.
Lucy was then admitted to FMC, during a week of monitoring the doctors at FMC in conjunction with the doctors at the Woman’s and Children’s hospital decided that they would try to keep the twins in utero for as long as possible to give twin A a fighting chance rather than being born at 32 weeks.

After a week of monitoring, various ultrasounds and daily CTGs Lucy was allowed to go home with Greg to be with their five year old son.
Lucy was required to have a CTG every second day in Naracoorte and an ultrasound once a week in Adelaide.

On Monday the 19th of January Lucy went to Adelaide for a weekly ultrasound and her blood pressure was dangerously low and during the day visit her heart rate plummeted as low 30bpm. A further ultrasound the following day found that there was a chance that Twin A could be losing blood into Lucy’s bloodstream. The doctors then made the difficult decision to deliver the babies via c-section on the morning of Wednesday the 21st of January.

At 34 weeks gestation, Greg and Lucy brought their little angel into the world at 9.30am, shortly followed by their beautiful surviving boy.

Their journey doesn’t stop there, since the birth of their twin boys Lucy and Greg have been watching their little fighter grow and gain strength everyday in the special care nursery. Lucy and her surviving twin were transferred to the Mount Gambier hospital to continue to grow in strength.

After a long 7 week ordeal and 3 weeks in the Neonatal/special care clinic at FMC, Lucy and her surviving twin were able to finally come home from Mount Gambier on the 20th of February.

Although they now have one beautiful baby boy, they are grieving what no parent should, the loss of their second baby. They are mourning in a time that should be celebrated and full of love and joy.

They are also struggling with the financial stress created by all of the traveling, 7 weeks of lost income and the cost of funeral arrangements with the loss of a child.

The emotional exhaustion from everything they have had to come to terms with is ongoing and the emotional battles Lucy and Greg will face in the future is unthinkable.

They have a very long road ahead with more many more medical appointments ahead. Even if you are able to donate just $20 to help take some financial pressure off them during this time your support is greatly appreciated.
