LuCretia, In Need of a Wheelchair accessible Van

Donation protected

LuCretia Hawthorne from Mobile Alabama moved to Tampa, Florida in 2002. Her vision was to make an impact in the lives of young people in the community. She opened Platinum Plus Beauty Studio with limited capital  to create jobs for the young ladies that were completing beauty school. She especially had a passion for struggling single mothers. Platinum Plus became the hub for outreach projects which  created a platform for students essentially giving birth to the Hair and Barber Explosion that  specialized in Hair Shows. The students were able to display their gifts, talents and creativity. The students were also extended the opportunity to intern at her Salon Platinum Plus Beauty Studio. She also created the Little Miss Sassy Pageant for girls 4-12 years of age, teaching them self-esteem and confidence, with the emphasis on preparing them for greatness; training each participate the importance of crowning their hearts as well as their heads. The Pageant became a yearly event making a mark in the Tampa Bay area that will never be erased, She and her staff then got involved in the Imagine Me project with foster care kids through her church RevealingTruth Ministries. This also became a yearly event for the Platinum Plus staff. Additionally, LuCretia allowed the group home to bring the girls to the beauty salon for services that included hair care and mentorship. LuCretia also founded a project called Secret Santa where she and her family cooked meals and with the help of a team of people they fed the homeless during the holidays. Occasionally they would pull up on random homeless people blessing them with cards, cash and care packages. In 2014 LuCretia became a licensed realtor thereby helping many to become first time homebuyers. Her heart has always been to help people in need. She served at her church as a instructor for home buyer classes, hosted workshops, credit repair seminars and provided information  on grant monies given by the State of Florida for first time home buyers. The classes  begin  from the vision of Pastor Gregory Powe of RTM as he declared that every member should own a home and at least one acre of land. As a result of these activities many became homeowners. In addition to the RTM family, the classes were also available to the community. Unfortunately in 2020 the person that did so much for others and was a pillow in our community during  the most vulnerable time in her life suffered a brain aneurysm that ruptured intomultiple strokes. At this time and season she is not able to function without the care and assistance of her husband, family, friends and medical professionals. Her husband Terrance Hawthorne is her full-time caretaker. She is recovering at home and is currently in need of a Wheelchair  accessible van to make it to all of her doctor appointments and follow-up visits which is  a critical part of her road to recovery and in getting back to some normalcy. It is very therapeutic and improved her brain function every time she goes out. It helps the brain reengage. LuCretia is a wife, mother to four children and a grandmother. We are thankful for your prayers, support and contributions during our time of need. If you would like to donate to the purchase of a van to transport LuCretia Hawthorne. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Terrance Hawthorne and Family!!!!!
