Hello all!
My name is Lucrece Sainclair!
I am a 30-year-old aspiring politician and sociologist. A student at the University of Westminster currently studying Politics and International Relations, a former journalist at firms such as BBC Africa, Channel 4 News, Yahoo, and much more, and a lover of advocacy of people from all walks of life.
I decided to stand as the next Councillor in Stratford, not only is it my home, but it is inside one of the most diverse boroughs of: Newham.
However, I sadly understand what it’s like to grow up here and struggle, navigating systems that aren’t always clear, living through relative poverty, all whilst wanting better for those around you.
Opportunities don’t always come easy to many despite their full potential - often having to go far and wide to find them. I know this is wrong, and I am ready to help fight this.
This is why I want to become your next young leader and Councillor, taking over from my wonderful mother Delphine Tohoura, who also stood as Councillor in Canning Town North from 2018-2022.
This campaign is about making sure people get informed, thoroughly supported, and are able to access equal opportunities and services that already exist - and creating more.
And one thing about US is, we stick together.
As I am standing as an INDEPENDENT candidate, away from bipartisan politics, I really can't do this alone! So I'd appreciate anything you can give.
*Any funds from this initiative will go directly towards my campaign materials, such as posters, leaflets, pamphlets, digital media and promotional content, videography, photography outreach, transportation and connecting with residents across Stratford to people feel seen, heard, and represented, and every penny is electorally accounted for.
PLEASE NOTE: You are not able to donate if you are still UNREGISTERED to vote in the UK.
But you can support the cause online!
Please note: The electoral commission strictly prohibits non U.K voters to donate.
Thank you for reading about me, together we can make a substantial change.
