Early in the morning of Saturday, September 20th, an undocumented drunk driver hit William (Thor) and his passenger going nearly 100 MPH in a 25 mile per hour zone. The impact was so severe, it caused the passenger to be ejected, fatally killing him. The impact also caused the vehicle to spin and hit a traffic light and a utility pole, eventually coming to rest. The drunk driver blew a 0.108, is illegal, and is now on a federal detainer.
The vehicle is a total loss and William also sustained broken ribs and other contusions to his sternum, sides, and arms, as well as some cuts and burns.
This is a criminal and a civil case that could take months to recover from both physically and financially.
William has now lost his ability to support his family and has suffered greatly. While he is lucky to be alive, he and his family now risk facing the loss of their home and stability.
Funds raised will help secure a reliable vehicle, pay housing costs while he recuperates, and ensure his little girls don’t suffer as well.
