On July 2nd, 2018 our beloved friend Seamus Haley died by suicide. Seamus stood at the heart of the community (affectionately dubbed the ‘Goblin Horde’) which he and his wife, Charlotte, had helped to create. He will be remembered for his gentle smile, knowledgeable enthusiasm, and steadfast commitment to provide a space of safety and warmth to the gaming community of Boston’s South Shore.
Our grief leads us to recognize the difficulty in which Seamus’s wife and Lucky Goblin co-owner, Charlotte, now finds herself. This loss has understandably disrupted the operation of the store, as well as created new and significant financial challenges. We of ‘the Horde’ wish to help.
The Lucky Goblin has quickly become a place of refuge and welcome for many. In the face of this loss, let us respond in keeping with the spirit of the Lucky Goblin and its co-founder, our friend Seamus.
