Lucky Dog Hot Sauce of California

Donation protected
Scott Zalkind has always been a hot sauce guy.

He started chasing the heat for himself 15 years ago. His backyard cookouts were his test kitchen for creating more complex flavors than the hot sauces he bought in the store.

Friends who tried his hot sauces couldn’t get enough. Demand for his homemade condiment line grew so high that Scott left his day job in 2012 to bring the heat full time.

Lucky Dog Hot Sauce was born.

Scott named his company for his sweet pup Lucky. Their mission: to make Lucky Dog Hot Sauce your food’s best friend.

That’s just what Scott has done. Lucky Dog Hot Sauce has won more awards in the state than any other hot sauce company. If you’ve dined in the Bay Area, you’ve probably had his sauce on wings and sandwiches at one of the many restaurants that serve up Lucky Dog. Through it all, Scott has sourced ingredients from local farms to give back to the community.

The coronavirus outbreak has changed business as usual for Scott. There are fewer events, restaurant closures & unknown market availability. And he’s already feeling the pinch.

Independent small businesses like Scott’s depend on the support of the people who believe in him, his products, and their positive impact on the community. Sling a few bucks Scott’s way to keep the heat alive.
