Hi, my name is Emily and I am fundraising for my #1 girl Luci! Luci is a Boxer mix and has Cranial Cruciate Ligament Disease, which means the ligaments in her knees are degenerating and it is irreversible. Poor baby! The good news is there is a surgery, Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) and it helps pups with this issue get their legs back in action. Last spring we went ahead and had her left knee done and went through the long 3-month recovery process. Luci was so amazing and her left leg is functioning great now!
Then this last August we noticed Luci wasn't putting weight on her back right leg and soon after was having trouble getting up and walking, just like what happened the first time. Here we go again. Luci is only 7 years old, she is extremely social and has a lot of play and joy to share with people and other dogs. It is so hard to see your pup in pain!! We need to get her through this next surgery and we need help.
We just relocated from Seattle to Portland last November and found a great surgeon here at OREV Specialty Vet Care and are hopeful to get her in as soon as possible. I am asking for donations that will go directly towards Luci's hospitalization, surgery, lab work, medications, post-op x-rays and checkups. 5,800.00 is the total estimate given to us from her doctor's office, and this price is average for this surgery. Yikes! Anything you can contribute is deeply appreciated!
