I know everyone’s going through a hard time right now, and I hate to ever ask for help like this. But my beautiful 4 year old rescue parrot/umbrella cockatoo Lucifer, who should live to be my 60 year old life partner, has gotten so sick he needs extreme chemical intervention to stabilize him and then surgery on top of the costs of X-rays, blood work and everything else. I have never been more terrified in my life. He is my heart and home and I would appreciate any help so much. Update: he has survived surgery but still needs to pass a metal piece or become strong enough to survive a more complicated surgery to remove it. He will continue to have vet boarding/feeding/medication fees for a long while it seems.
