Lucie Gelinas House Fire
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Bill Cullen and I am a co-worker and friend of Lucie Gelinas. Lucie and her son experienced a tragic house fire on Sunday, August 14 2022 caused by a faulty propane tank on their BBQ. Due to the proximity and intensity of the flames, the house caught fire and nearly everything was destroyed. Thankfully they both made it out of the house unharmed. The firefighters were able to get a few things out of the home, but it is a total loss and will be bulldozed in the near future. This fundraiser is to secure funds for Lucie and her son to stabilize and rebuild their lives. Gift baskets and cards are nice in times like this, but ultimately extra money at this moment provides flexibility and reduces anxiety about all the things that need to be replaced. Luckily insurance should cover most the cost for the house rebuild, but personal items and house furnings are unlikely to be covered.
I know Lucie as an incredibly hard-working, thoughtful, and humble Product Manager... she would probably prefer to not even have this page posted on her behalf, but at this moment she is in a vulnerable position and needs your help. Unfortunately, I know the reality of having a family home burn down as it happened to me just 7 months ago, and I hope this fundraiser can be as successful as the one that a dear friend set up for my family in our time of dire need. Sometimes life comes in big waves, and when the waves crest too high we need the help of others to get safely to shore.
Thank you kindly for your consideration and donations.
