It has been a while since I posted; although we did not have the funds to bring Luci to treatment in the US, thanks to your donations she was able to receive limb salvage surgery. For many months, this gave us the deepest happiness--she was cancer free, and living life to the fullest. As any nine year old should.
A few months ago, we received the worst news for the loved ones of any cancer patient--the cancer had returned.
Our greatest hope is that she may be able to receive immunotherapy treatment, which seems to be highly effective. However, it is very costly.
As always, your donations make a difference and are so deeply appreciated. If you do not wish to donate, just sharing this post is a tremendous help. Thank you so much for your support and keeping Luci in your thoughts.

Para comenzar, mi familia y yo les mandamos muchísimo agradecimiento por todos los buenos deseos, el apoyo y amor que nos han brindado.
Ha pasado un tiempo desde mi último posteo; a pesar de que no pudimos recaudar los fondos para traernos a Luci a Estados Unidos para que recibiera tratamiento, gracias a sus donaciones ella pudo recibir un tratamiento y cirugía que hicieron que dieran por liquidado el cáncer.
Durante varios meses, esto nos dio la felicidad más pura—ella estaba disfrutando de la vida al máximo. Como debería poder hacer cualquier niña de 9 años.
Hace algunos meses, recibimos las peores noticias que puede recibir cualquier ser querido de alguien con esta enfermedad—el cáncer había vuelto.
Nuestra mayor esperanza es que ella podrá recibir un tratamiento de inmunoterapia, el cual parece ser sumamente efectivo. Lamentablemente, es muy costoso.
Como siempre, sus donaciones hacen una diferencia y se les agradece más de lo que se pueden imaginar. Si no desean donar, simplemente compartir este video es una enorme ayuda. De nuevo, gracias por su apoyo y por mantenerla en sus pensamientos.

Last year, my 8 year old cousin Lucila was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, a type of cancer with one of the worst prognosis.
The doctors discovered a malignant tumor, 13 cm. Words cannot describe the pain and fear we felt.
After exhausting all possible forms of treatment offered in Chile for this type of cancer, we hope to bring her to the United States so that she can receive the best treatment.
At Johns Hopkins we were told that she can commence treatment once they receive a down payment of $230,000.
Please help my cousin receive the treatment she needs by donating money or helping spread the word. Thank you for your time, thoughts, and prayers.

El año pasado diagnosticaron a mi prima Lucila, de 8 años, con Ewing's sarcoma. Este es un tipo de cáncer con uno de los peores pronósticos conocidos.
Le descubrieron un tumor maligno de 13 cm. No existen palabras para describir el terror y el dolor que sentimos.
Después de haber probado todos los tratamientos ofrecidos en Chile, deseamos traerla a Estados Unidos para que pueda recibir el mejor tratamiento posible. SEn Johns Hopkins nos han pedido un down payment de 230.000 USD.
Por favor ayuden a que mi prima reciba el tratamiento que necesita donando dinero o ayudando a difundir esta página. Gracias por su ayuda, sus buenos deseos, y por mantenernos en sus plegarias.
