Lucian’s Road to Recovery

*Edited to say: We reached our initial goal of $10k - you are all amazing!! And as the family continues the intense ups and downs of this road, the financial hardship continues to grow the more time away from work and normal routine that they spend, so we have increased the goal to further support them during this unimaginable time.
My name is Nova Wightman (Luke’s sister) and I am hoping to raise funds to support the family of my nephew, Lucian Schuler, as he is on a long road of healing and recovery after being hit by a car on Feb. 25th and suffering a traumatic brain injury. At the time I am writing this, 4-yr old Lucian remains in critical condition as his parents, Rebecca and Luke, and his care team at Gillette Children’s continue to navigate the damage and his path to healing. There are still many unknowns and the family is looking at several weeks of hospital time, including rehabilitation. As you can imagine, the daily living costs on top of medical expenses puts a significant financial strain on families in situations like this, especially with Luke running his own company. For the time being it is vital that both parents be by Lucian’s side, and I know many family members, friends and kind-hearted strangers have been asking how they can help in more tangible ways. Lessening the financial burden for Lucian’s parents would be a great help and allow them to be even more present for their son as he continues his healing journey. We appreciate any amount you can offer at this time, and know that it is received with not only tremendous gratitude but a deep humbleness as no one wants to find themselves in situations like this. Luke and Rebecca and family continue to be in awe of the outpouring of love, prayers and support from so many. Thank you so much for being on this journey with us!
