Esta é a Luciana, nós nos chamamos de BFF que significa melhores amigas para sempre. Pense em uma pessoa maravilhosa, batalhadora, generosa, doadora. Uma mulher cheia de sonhos e energia. Nós nos conhecemos nos Estados Unidos, onde Luciana morava com seu esposo José e seu filho primogênito Caleb. Com a morte súbita e trágica de seu irmão, ela regressou às pressas com sua família ao Brasil, para cuidar e dar suporte aos seus pais já idosos.

No Brasil, Luciana teve mais um filho, Benjamin. Hoje seus pequenos tem apenas 10 e 5 anos de idade.

Aos 22 de Agosto de 2021, Luciana estava louvando ao Senhor em sua igreja, quando de repente começou a ter convulsões no púlpito. Prontamente foi socorrida e levada ao hospital de Rios das Ostras no Rio de Janeiro, onde foi diagnosticada com um terrível aneurisma cerebral.

Os laudos médicos dizem que ela teve uma grande sequela neurológica e isquemia cerebral. Estamos em em meados de fevereiro de 2022 e nossa querida Luciana onde continua hospitalizada, se alimentando por gastrostomia e respirando com auxílio de traqueostomia. Só movimenta os olhos e o pescoço sozinha, e isto porque está fazendo terapias.

Com este quadro delicadíssimo, ela necessita de terapias especiais e visitas médicas regulares.

Como não possui planos de saúde, pois no Brasil não é tão acessível, está internada pelo SUS em Petrópolis, e suas terapias tem que ser pagas particular.

Seu esposo José é aposentado e tem se desdobrado para cuidar dos filhos pequenos e também estar presente auxiliando na recuperação de sua esposa. Quando está no hospital, que é bem longe de sua casa, com a esposa, ele precisa pagar uma babá para ficar com as crianças, visto que o pai de Luciana faleceu e sua mãe já e idosa e não está com boa saúde física e emocional.

Precisamos ajudar esta família. Luciana tem mostrado progresso com as terapias, mas ela precisa de mais cuidados especiais para uma recuperação mais rápida. E claro que para os médicos essa recuperação e improvável, mas nos cremos em um milagre, e queremos contar com suas orações e sua ajuda para promover os cuidados que ela precisa. This is Luciana, we call ourselves BFF which means best friends forever. Think of a wonderful, hardworking, generous, giving person. A woman full of dreams and energy. We met in the United States, where Luciana lived with her husband Jose and their firstborn son Caleb. With the sudden and tragic death of her brother, she hastily returned with her family to Brazil, to care for and support her elderly parents.

In Brazil, Luciana had one more son, Benjamin. Today their little ones are only 10 and 5 years old.

On August 22, 2021, Luciana was praising the Lord in her church when she suddenly started having seizures in the pulpit. She was promptly rescued and taken to Rios das Ostras hospital, where she was diagnosed with a terrible brain aneurysm.

Medical reports say she had a major neurological sequelae and cerebral ischemia. We are in mid-February 2022 and our dear Luciana is still hospitalized, eating by gastrostomy and breathing with the aid of a tracheostomy. She only moves her eyes and neck by herself, and that's because she's doing therapies.

With this very delicate condition, she needs special therapies and regular medical visits.

As she does not have health plans, because in Brazil is too expensive, she is hospitalized by the SUS (type of Medicaid) in Petrópolis, and her therapies have to be paid for privately.

Her husband José is retired and has been working hard to take care of the small children and is also at the Hospital to help his wife in her recovery. When he is in the hospital, which is very far from their house, with his wife, he needs to pay a nanny to take care of the children, since Luciana's father passed away and her mother is already elderly and is not in good physical and emotional health.

We need to help this family. Luciana has shown progress with therapies, but she needs more special care for a faster recovery. Of course, for doctors this recovery is unlikely, but we believe in a miracle, and we want to count on your prayers and help to provide the care she needs.
