Helping Lucho in His Battle With Cancer

Lucho is one of those angels with paws that lights up the room wherever he goes. Whoever knows us and Lucho knows that he is our big little baby and the king of our lives. It's because of this that we are doing everything that we can to make his life better and have him be part of our pack for many years to come.
On 10/14 Lucho had to undergo surgery to remove a mass that was located very close to his spine. After the removal, we had to patiently wait for the results of the biopsy study to determine the next steps. Unfortunately, on 10/21 we found out that the mass turned out to be a malignant type of cancer called 'Myxosarcoma'. This type of cancer is one of the rarest that there is and very unpredictable in its prognosis. As a result, his path to being healthy again requires that he receives 22 rounds of radiotherapy in order to remove all the cells surrounding the extraction area and that way make sure that it won't regrow. This is the part where he needs all of us to rally together and make this treatment happen.
The collected funds will be exclusively used to cover the cost of the treatment and the needed post-care. We hope to be able to start his treatment as soon as possible.
Any help given will go a long way in making Lucho a healthy and happy pup again.

Lucho es uno de esos angelitos con patitas que a donde llega, ilumina el ambiente y cambia la vibra de la gente. El que nos conoce y se haya cruzado en el camino con el, sabe que Lucho es el rey de nuestras vidas. Es por esto que queremos mantenerlo saludable y hacer todo lo que este en nuestras manos para hacer de su vida lo mejor y tenerlo con nosotros por muchos años mas.
El 14 de Octubre, Lucho tuvo que ser operado para remover una masa de tejido que crecio muy cerca de su columna vertebral. Luego de la cirugia, hemos tenido que esperar muy pacientemente por los resultados de la biopsia. Desafortunademente, una semana despues de la cirugia hemos descubierto que se trata de una masa maligna cancerigena del tipo 'Mixosarcoma'. Se trata de uno de los canceres mas extraños que existen y su pronostico no es muy bueno. Debido a esto, el siguiente paso en devolverle una buena calidad de vida a Lucho require que el sea sometido a 22 rondas de radioterapia para remover todas las celulas cancerigenas alrededor del area y sobretodo para asegurar que esta masa no vuelva a crecer. Esta es la parte en la que Lucho nos necesita a todos para lograr estar saludable nuevamente.
Los fondos recolectados seran exclusivamente utilizados para cubrir el costo de la radioterapia y el posterior cuidado de la misma. Esperamos que logremos recaudar el dinero necesario para empezar el tratamiento lo mas pronto posible.
