Luce Needs a New Arm

You may or may not know Luce. He is a curious and loving black cat, brother to Fry. Our vet, Dr. Kendra, affectionately describes Luce as “so sexy.” And she’s not wrong; he’s got a jawline like it was carved from marble by Michelangelo himself.

On Thursday (7/21/22), Emily came home from work and found Luce with a limp paw that he wouldn’t put pressure on. We immediately rushed him to the vet and X-rays revealed both a fractured ulna and radius. We could cast him and hope that the bones heal properly. But there is a chance they don’t and his paw would have to be amputated. Option #2 would be to take him in for surgery for the best prognosis but it is very expensive and why is inflation a thing right now, it’s the worst.

This GoFundMe is to humbly ask for help so that we might get the best medical care for our boy. The surgeon we’ve communicated with believes a bone plate is the best option for his bones to heal.
