Finding Lucas Hernandez: Aerial ed.
Donation protected

It was just over 3 weeks ago I was asked to use my drone to help find a lost 5 year old boy, Lucas Hernandez. Without a second thought, I said yes. To have the honor to fly in such a cause it beyond measure. It's been heart warming to see the love from the family for Lucas. Just as amazing is the efforts, love, and passion to find him from people in the community who didn't know Lucas not the family. Brings back any lost faith in humanity. It was amazing to work with the Texas EquuSearch. My hand built drone aided in safety searching areas such as river's, dense woods and rough terrain. Giving a real time view map of the land, beyond what Google maps could ever give. I successfully flew 4 days with the Texas Team and 4 other searchers. I had no major crashes, no props broke, no property damage or injuries. I would like to continue working with all the great people of #lucasstrong and the family of Lucas Hernandez. In the most recent search, while fly back to myself near the road, I hit a ditch by the road ending up dead center in the road. Came through the row of trees to see a semi coming down the road. He seen me then the drone. He shifted over to what seem to avoid me and straddle the drone. Instead, he shifted all the way over lining up his right side tires catastrophically destroying the drone and brand new Gopro Session 5 needed for this project. Throw up my hands and looked at the drive. He shrugged and drove off. Your help with go all too building the variable equipment and other supplies in the search for Lucas. It is my hope these tools will go to finding other lost loved ones. In honor of Lucas, the drone will be dedicated to fly for the search for Lucas Hernandez and the hopeful future of others. Only fitting to name the bird Lucas 2. Thank you
