Lucas Deserves Answers

Lucas has been struggling with medical issues since birth.  For the last year and a half he has been spiking fevers of up to 107 degrees, with glands protruding from his neck and no other symptoms.  His local doctors have done lots of bloodwork only to hit a dead-end with regard to the main cause of his recent symptoms.  Signs were pointing to Lymphoma, Lupus, or some other connective tissue disorders. Because Lucas is a patient at Boston Children's Hospital in their Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) clinic, we have added a Rheumatologist, and his regular doctors have been trying to figure out what could be causing this.  Since we live in Florida, it is very expensive to travel back and forth to Boston for treatment. However, with minimal access to medical professionals who can figure out this complex medical situation, we feel it is best for Lucas to be cared for in Boston. Please help us get to the bottom of what is ailing our son. We are confident that Boston Children's Hospital can get to the bottom of this medical mystery.  #lucasgrocks
