On September 22nd, Lucas Gervais had his life changed forever in the blink of an eye. Lucas was legally pulled over in the breakdown lane of 95 South and stepped out of his company truck to inspect the vehicle. Within one second of closing the vehicle door, he was struck by a passing box truck at highway speeds that drifted into the breakdown lane. Lucas suffered life threatening facial, hip, back and internal injuries and was airlifted to Bangor for emergency treatment. Lucas underwent lifesaving surgeries that stopped internal bleeding and fixed some serious injuries suffered in the accident.

Not only did Lucas survive this accident, but he miraculously has shown no major signs of a head injury or severe memory loss. Currently Lucas is in stable condition, doing very well for the circumstances and is starting his long road to recovery… one day at a time.

Lucas, like many of us has navigated his way into adulthood dealing with all the crazy things that life tries to throw at you. He had put in years of hard work as a landscaper before realizing what profession he wanted to chase. He found a home with Agri-Cycle Energy where he has worked for the past 2 years and is an integral part of their success. Lucas, with lots of hard work, had recently obtained a CDL license and was looking forward to following in his father's footsteps in the trucking industry.

Lucas has been gaining lots of traction on his career path, but his true passion is fishing! Lucas would wake up on his days off while the rest of us were still sleeping and would be on the lake before the sun was up, with hopes of reeling in that monster bass. He also has dreams of owning his own house one day.
