On September 1st, 2025, I lost my dream soul dog suddenly and unexpectedly. He had a sudden health complication that was unidentifiable and untreatable, which was not discovered until his rapid decline on the day he passed. Luca was my first dog, and I was so lucky and blessed to have rescued him from Adopt-a-Pet in Fenton, MI in 2022 after he recovered physically from extensive trauma which resulted in the loss of his back right leg. Luca was a wonderful example of resiliency and overcoming struggles when all odds were stacked against him, even at a young age. While I would have loved to have had Luca physically in my life for longer, I will forever cherish and be thankful for the time I was able to physically be his mama for 3 years.

Due to Luca's sudden decline and being extremely young to have had his condition, I accumulated debt rapidly during his hospital stay. Since Luca was so young and vets were baffled before we found out what was happening, the wonderful teams at Hometown Veterinary Hospital, Oakland Veterinary Referral Services and I did everything possible to help recover. All funds raised will be going directly to help me pay off Luca's medical bills from both facilities and Luca's cremation/memorial costs. I understand we are currently in extremely uncertain times in the world and so appreciate any and all help you are able to provide.
