Luca’s Diagnosis with Leukaemia

Update: thank you everyone for your kind contributions it is so appreciated and Jacqueline & Justin are able to spend this time with their family because of everyone’s thoughtful donations. Luca was discharged from hospital today and spent the afternoon playing at home with his family. He will be back in hospital tomorrow for his Lumber Puncture procedure and third dose of Chemotherapy.

Over the weekend, my best friends 1 year old son Luca has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL).

This news is devastating and absolutely heartbreaking for Jackie and Justin and no parent or baby should have to live this nightmare. This news is very new and although none of us can comprehend how hard this will be for their family, I would like to ask for help in getting them though this journey and road to recovery.

To make things harder, Justin started his business a few months ago, meaning he will have no sick leave to fall back on during this time when he needs to be with his family the most. I would like to raise some funds to help them stay on their feet and take one worry away from them while they navigate this life.

Any help is so appreciated and please keep Luca Bear in your thoughts and prayers, I know he is a strong boy and he will be cured through the 2.5 years of treatment ahead.
